7 beauty tips for the perfect summer skin!

Spring-clean your skin for the summer

Get rid of dead skin cells by peeling your skin, this results in smooth, even and glowing skin. Use a peeling product that contains enzymes, it is gentler for your skin and at least as effective as regular peeling.

Sunscreen

It is important to use sunscreen with a high SPF, at least SPF 30 or 50 is highly recommended. A higher SPF means that your skin is protected better and that your sun kissed colour will last longer. Apply often and abundantly, and if you expose yourself to the sun directly, you should apply SPF every other hour.

Moisturise, moisturise!

When the weather is getting warmer, you may feel like your skin is less dry, but do not forget to moisturise it. The sun’s radiation dries out your skin and it is recommended to use a lighter moisturising cream both on your face and body. A moisturising spray in your bag is a must! It helps moisturise and supplies your skin with nutrients. The spray can be used immediately after cleansing your skin, but also on top of your make-up.

Drink enough water

The tip that we hear so often, but many neglect – drink enough water every day. Try to set a rule to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily. Sufficient liquid consumption on a daily basis is important for both organs and muscles, but it also contributes to the wellbeing of the skin as well as the entire body.

Clean your skin properly

Never sleep with makeup on! Many do not clean the skin after a long working day or a night out. Your skin breathes and repairs itself while you are sleeping and therefore needs to be clean from makeup and dirt. Micellar cleansing products are popular within facial cleansing since you do not need to use water to clean your face. It is important to drink water, but applying it on your skin will unfortunately dry it out.

Get enough sleep

To sleep enough is essential both for your health and skin. Dark circles are not the only sign of a badly slept night, as you skin might get saggy and lose elasticity, which emphasises the signs of ageing. Try to get 8 hours of sleep every night so your body can recover and rebuild itself.

A walk per day, keeps the skin-problems away?

Not enough time for training? A walk a day boosts the blood circulation and is good for both your body and your skin. A 30-minute walk may be enough - you get fresh air and hopefully some sun, but do not forget SPF!
